The Engineering & Science Services and Skills Augmentation \(ESSSA\) contract provides engineering, scientist and engineering technician support to NASA Marshall Space Flight Center \(MSFC\) in Huntsville, AL\. Thisis a temporary software development/database management position that will supportthe Systems Integration and Test Facility \(SITF\), Systems IntegrationLaboratory \(SIL\) Hardware\-in\-the\-Loop facility \(HWIL\), and multiple SoftwareDevelopment Facilities \(SDFs\) that will be used to verify the integratedavionics system for the Space Launch System \(SLS\) at NASA’s Marshall SpaceFlight Center \(MSFC\)\.
Create a user interface tool that willconsolidate or link ~50 different, yet similar, Problem Reporting \(PR\) andChange Request \(CR\) SharePoint databases \(lists\) and provide a GUI front endthat would allow the user to search, add, and modify existing PRs andCRs\. The tool will also need to provide a reporting and search capabilityto allow for impact analyses to be conducted across the ~50 SharePointlists\. This could be a Microsoft Access, Python or even Javaimplementation as long as it can interface with SharePoint and be accessed byboth Windows and MacBook users\.
Must be either enrolled in or have obtained a BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an ABET\-accredited university\.

Office and laboratory environment\. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing \(100%\)\. Requires ability to interact professionally with co\-workers, management, and client \(100%\)\. Requires travel in the domestic USA \(<15%\)\.
Requiressitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, andwith our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues \(10%\)\. Also,requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports andperform engineering tasks \(80%\)\. Requires ability to use stairs or elevatorsfor access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and Jacobs facilities\(10%\)\.Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate electromechanical and servo\-hydraulic materials test machines, furnaces, environmental chambers, hydraulic pumps, a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment \(100%\)\.
Normal workday is from 7:30 a\.m\. through 4:30 p\.m\., Monday thru Friday\. Minimal overtime may be required \(10%\) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job\. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required\.

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential \(100%\)\. Grooming and dress must beappropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others\.
