These positions are contingent on contract award***** Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Manager in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will support the current and evolving Systems and Computer Resources Support (SCRS) efforts for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) Customer. The SED, within the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research,Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM), has development and support responsibilities for myriad weapons systems and related support systems with associated enhancements. The Strategic Systems domain includes support activities for Combatant Commanders and Agencies (such as AMC, MDA, Homeland Security, Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), TRANSCOM, INSCOM)and related FMS efforts The Configuration Management (CM) team has the responsibility for configuration management planning, change control, status accounting, audits/evaluations, product release and delivery, and implementation of the configuration identification schema. Candidate will be responsible for day to day configuration management support, including management of Software (SW) CM activities. Everyday responsibilities range from establishing and maintaining the program’s CM systems, including the program’s document and software libraries, developing scripts to supporting software build cycles, providing CM support to development team and Programs Management, developing, improving and training the program CM processes and interfacing with other engineering disciplines to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. In addition, candidate will provide direction, guidance, mentoring and training to subordinate team members based on program and organizational SW CM concepts. Position requires great attention to detail with respect to managing software development environments, program libraries and strong presentation and leadership skills. Ability to develop and maintain SWCM tools using such languages as: Perl, shell scripting, C++ and Java. Candidate will possess a working knowledge of CMMI and ISO 9000 requirements, be able to effectively interface and communicate with multiple levels of management and teammates in other engineering Responsibilities: · Develops Configuration Management solutions to complex problems and ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives and be able to interpret, execute and make recommendations to organizational policies. · Responsible for technical leadership of a SW CM staff, establishing and maintaining a strong interface with the program office to guarantee successful completion of configuration management tasks.Shall be responsible for integration of configuration management requirements in to a program life cycle and be responsible for the SWCM interfaces to prime contractors, subcontractors and customer CM. Provide guidance to subordinates,based on the requirements of the functional organization as well as the requirements identified by program contractual artifacts. Provide guidance to program personnel, with the ability to identify disconnects between current activities and contractual commitments. · Be accountable to the program and department management for the success of the CM plan and processes on a program. Conduct briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives and serve as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies,plans, and objectives. · Provide SWCM support and cost estimates for program proposals (ECPs, ROMs) · Requires communicating SWCM status to SWCM Management and Program Management. · Candidate must be able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance Education and Experience: · B.S. /B.A. in Aerospace Engineering,Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics,Math (or equivalent experience) · E xperience with Software Configuration Management Administration with the ability to perform build management (compiling, linking), Release management (capturing and installing software baselines), and configuration audits. · Experience establishing, developing and implementing Configuration Management processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data library/repository, product release and delivery, and configuration audits · Experience working with ISO 9000 and CMMI CM requirements · Experience defining, analyzing or reporting Configuration Management Metrics · Experience developing and managing schedules. · Experience as of Software Configuration Manager utilizing Rational Team Concert (preferred), Rational ClearCase, or JIRA/GIT Desired Skills: · CMII, NDIA, or other certification that includes integrated CM · Experience using CHEF or Puppet; Adlassian Tools; ClearQuest; Jenkins or Hudson · Using such languages as: Perl, shell scripting, C++ and Java.
