The Senior Systems Integration Engineer will support the SLS Level III Liquid Engines Office ensuring the adequacy of SE&I products to the SLS Vehicle and to KSC Ground Operations\. Provide Project Engineering support to integrate solutions to issues, facilitate integrated discussions, participate in task teams and document reviews, provide status on issues and deliverables, help maintain open communication with the SLS Level II Vehicle SE&I Operations Team, and help support the Requirement Change Notice \(RCN\) process\. Special emphasis placed at the current time on the cross program \(SLS to GSDO\) coordination within the Operations Maintenance Requirements and Specification \(OMRS\) Management System \(OMS\):
+ Assist in the review and disposition of cross programs OMRS, as well as the review of GSDO’s Work Authorization Documents, WADs\.
+ Facilitate engine\-to\-vehicle and engine\-to\-architecture technical integration and integrate with other SLS and Engineering organizations to coordinate and obtain the necessary information to produce documents that meet the Program/Project requirements and assist in the review and approvals of documents\.
Degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET\-accredited university is required\. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph\.D\., with minimum of 12 years of experience, a Masters with at least 15 years of experience, or BS with at least 20 years of experience\.
Senior engineer needs to possess strong vehicle and ground operations experience and a working knowledge of the NASA SE&I processes to be able to provide arigorous and overarching engineering structure within which to conduct the design, development, test, and evaluation of the liquid engine systems\. Demonstrated experience required with the majority of the following:
+ Coordinate between NASA and prime contractor teams to achieve broader SE&I objectives\.
+ Provide structured design reviews consistent with NASA and MSFC standards\.
+ Provide insight to contractor systems analysis and systems integration activities\.
+ Develop and maintain the technical requirements for the liquid engine system to include coordination with the project office and with contractor requirements development personnel and products\.
+ Coordinate planning for requirement verification activities leading to flight\-certification hardware\.
+ Facilitate engine\-to\-vehicle and engine\-to\-architecture technical integration\.
+ Develop programmatic systems engineering documentation\.
+ Integrate with other SLS and Engineering organizations to coordinate and obtain the necessary information to produce documents that meet the Program/Project requirements and assist in the review and approvals of documents\.
+ Coordinate with reviewer’s relative to the initial release and approval of documents as well the necessary revisions throughout the period of performance\.
+ Support the development and execution of the Project’s processes and procedures as related to Systems Engineering\.
Office environment\. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing \(100%\)\. Requires ability to interact professionally with co\-workers, management, and client \(100%\)\. Requires travel in the domestic USA \(<15%\)\.
Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues \(10%\)\. Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks \(80%\)\. Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and Jacobs facilities \(10%\)\.
Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment \(100%\)\.
Normal workday is from 7:30 a\.m\. through 4:30 p\.m\., Monday thru Friday\. Minimal overtime may be required \(10%\) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job\. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required\.

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential \(100%\)\. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others\.
