GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialist supporting an Army organization on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Assist the customer with defining, implementing and supporting Windchill PDM/PLM processes relative to the customers existing and future mission and goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PRIMARY:

  • Assist the customers engineers with utilizing Windchill Workgroup Manager to interact between Windchill and engineering CAD client software
  • Assist with migrating existing/historical engineering drawings to Windchill from various sources
  • Document existing customer processes and propose process improvements
  • Gather and document requirements for new Windchill solutions as requested by the customer
  • Work in tandem with the Windchill development team as needed to implement customer requirements
  • Test new and existing Windchill solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements
  • Assist with developing training materials and support training as needed
  • Participate in and support Windchill-focused meetings

SECONDARY:

  • Data metrics and analysis utilizing Windchill tools and/or Excel
  • ThingWorx development
  • SharePoint user administration and content management

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee will likely be placed in a cubicle. The work environment characteristics are representative of those of an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation/cubicle situation. Able to work sitting or standing at desk and operate a computer via standard input devices such as using a keyboard and reading information on a monitor.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


REQUIRED:****

  • 2+ years of Windchill experience in the following areas:
  • Requirements gathering and documentation
  • Implementing customer requirements
  • Testing user interfaces and workflows
  • Product Data Management / Product Lifecycle Management
  • Business process analysis and documentation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
  • Customer-oriented – Willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities in support of customer mission and goals
  • Self-starter with ability to complete complex tasks with little oversight
  • Strong MS Office skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working in a DoD related environment
  • System Engineering experience
  • ThingWorx experience
  • Software development experience
  • MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat Pro

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems
  • Windchill training and certification completion preferred
