The Huntsville/Madison Production and Assembly facility in Madison, AL is seeking a Prod Planning and Scheduler level 2 to join our team of providing world class material resource planning and production support to our many Northrop Grumman programs and U\.S\. Government customers\. Our products and services include delivering integrated end items against approved design, independent resource requirements for DOD worldwide usage, provisioning of spare resources, repair parts and component system rework/upgrades for multiple DOD products and programs such as CRAM, IBCS and AMDPCS in support of multiple Defense branches\.

This position requires analysis of manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes and enterprise supplies\. This position resolves schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross\-functional and team representatives\. Generates part or material requisitions and initiates production and purchase change orders\. Develops and facilitates the preparation, processing, scheduling of material purchasing requisitions for timely purchase order processes to satisfy system demand requirements\. Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements\. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed\. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements\. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc\.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders\.

+ Use SAP/MRP analysis tools to perform material resource planning based on demand generated resource requirements current stock, production need dates, vendor lead and material processing time to insure timely material or service availability to support production operations\.

+ Coordinate Return material authorizations \(RMA\), Repair rework orders with GSC and vendors for the return, repair and or replacement of non\-conforming resources\. •

+ Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control\.

+ Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules\.

+ Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies\.

+ Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ experience; 1 year with Masters; High School diploma with 7 years applicable experience will be considered in\- lieu of a College degree

+ Knowledge of general manufacturing and purchasing work flows

+ 3\-5 years of MRP/PC operations

+ Basic understanding of ERP systems

+ Microsoft Office

+ Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of general manufacturing and purchasing work flows

+ Working knowledge of SAP, shop floor management systems\.

+ 5 years or more years of MRP/PC operations

+ Advanced use of Microsoft excel
