Supports Army systems from requirements analysis and performance specification development through the design, development, integration, testing, and fielding processes. Applies integrated Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches in dealing with architecture data elements and architecture design and modeling. Follows a rigorous model-based system engineering process to transform operational requirements into specifications, architectures, and configuration baselines. Ensures requirements traceability and testability. Develops, updates and maintains systems architectures.
Collaborates to address and manage performance, cost and schedule trades within baselines. Establishes technical criteria to judge development efforts against requirements. Utilizes strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail. Initiates, works, and coordinates multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. Expertly identifies risks and develops mitigation.
- ABET accredited BS in Engineering discipline or related technical degree
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Some travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- MS degree in technical or scientific field
- Experience with Models-Based Systems Engineering and Model-Based Languages such as Systems Modeling Language (SysMil) and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Experience translating operational requirements into performance specifications for Army weapons systems
- Experience with IBM products such as DOORS and Rhapsody
- Knowledge of the integration, validation and verification of complex weapons systems
- Honesty, superior ethics
