What you will do:
Provide Leadership support by efficiently communicating to shift associates the details between plants, brands, suppliers, customers and carriers for cost effective on-time deliveries.
Maintain set levels of productivity and performance measurements as defined by site management for shipping, receiving and inventory accuracy.
Ensure customer orders are completed on time and in compliance with quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate 3rd shift duties effectively among shift associates.
Communicate between other shifts regarding issues, productivity numbers and other shift to shift hand-offs.
Ensure 3rd shift associates are trained in all appropriate responsibilities including but not limited to Safety, PPE requirements, Forklift, Hand held scanners, Order Picking, Receiving, Cycle Counting and 5-S.
Identify the root cause of shipment issues and develop alternative solutions for current and future purposes. Resolve issues which arise due to incorrect documentation or errors in delivery.
Audit and resolve customer order exception items.
Create metrics, analysis, and prepare reports for shift performance improvements and measures.
Maintain and organize documentation and files for company compliance requirements.
Other duties as assigned by management.

High School diploma required; prefer Associates of Arts Degree (A.A.S) in Accounting or Finance, business management, logistics/supply chain from an accredited four-year College or University; and/ or five or more years of related experience and/or training within a distribution center environment; logistics skills for shipping and receiving experience.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing software. AS400 query knowledge preferred.
