Family Services Case Aide

Job Description:

The Contract Family Services Case Aide will perform services essential to strengthen the family’s ability to provide a safe, nurturing home environment for children in maintaining them in their own home or the home of a relative.

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour. (Fiscal Year Contract)

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet case needs. The work week begins on Saturday at 12:01 AM. and ends on Friday night at midnight. Schedules involving weekend or evening work must flex the time within the same week. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM. to 4:30 PM.

Job Duties:

Coaching and modeling caregivers with domestic chores, such as routine cleaning, sweeping, dusting, changing bed linens, defrosting and cleaning appliances, ironing, mopping, shopping, and meal preparation. Transporting family members to the laundry, pharmacy, physician, utility companies, etc. Coaching and modeling support and advocacy for children’s educational success and supporting caregivers in encouraging school attendance and education advocacy. Providing family with support in other areas, as directed by the family’s ISP.

Job Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age. GED or High School Diploma. Requires good computer skills. Clearance of Child and Adult Abuse Neglect Registry. Criminal background check clearance. Annual TB Skin Test. Reliable automobile. Auto liability verification (100,000/300,000/50,000 limits required). Good driving record (requires copy of state driving record, MVR). Mileage reimbursement (.51 cents per mile). Requires working a flexible schedule.
