The Torque Specialist is responsible for production line support. THIS POSITION HAS A 2 MONTH DURATION HAS OPPORTUNITY TO TRANSFER TO LONG TERM JOB ONCE AVAILABLE Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Utilize a torque wrench to second-hand click joints • Report to Group Leader responsible for Production line where they are stationed • Must be stationed online as long as the production line is running, and take breaks and lunch as scheduled with regular production • TM will be provided a list of joints they must second-hand click • Use Torque wrench to second-hand click specified critical torques as each vehicle comes through • To confirm each joint was clicked, the TM must mark the joint with a specified paint pen • Ensure 100% of specified joints are checked for each vehicle • If there are any issues with the joint (e.g. loose joint, clicking not possible), TM must pull the line-stop chord and report the issues to the responsible zone Team leader Environmental: • Jobs may require exposure to inclement weather conditions • Jobs may require employee to move heavy objects and be exposed to hazardous work environments • Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours Qualification/Requirement: • HS Diploma • Use of a torque wrench in an automotive manufacturing environment • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to use torque wrench to click joints • Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift and perform mild physical tasks • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen • Previous OEM experience • Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays; overtime when required • Valid US driver’s license • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
