The Country Club of Mobile
Will work as a Pantry Cook.
Pay Rate: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour.
Benefits: Will be discussed during interview.
Work Schedule: Must be available to work any day of the week. Day shift will begin at 7:00 AM. or 8:00 AM and end around 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Evening shift will begin at 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime if needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares all salad items before each shift and maintains product levels during service hours; Prepares salads and other cold items for special functions; Makes sandwiches according to Club standards; Carefully follows recipes; Prepares ordered items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards; Requisitions items needed to produce menu items; Cleans equipment and ensures that pantry area refrigerator and walk-in are clean and well-organized; Sets up, breaks down and maintains salad prep station; Notifies kitchen staff in advance of product shortages; Maintains the highest sanitary standards; Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover portions; Ensures that food products are used before they spoil. Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware and glassware. Assists with other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef. Attends Staff Meetings.
Skills and Knowledge:
Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills – “Service with a smile” and thorough attention to detail in the performance of duties. Punctuality and reliability are a must.
Requires a H.S. Diploma or GED, Culinary Arts College or current student preferred. Requires two years of experience. Requires a current, valid Driver’s License. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Environments:
Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 30 pounds without restrictions. Must be able to stand for long periods of time; frequent bending. Photo ID and SS Card must be presented at time of submitting the application.
