Job Description

Position Summary: As a front line representative of State Bank and Trust, this individual will greet and serve all customers in a positive and professional manner through the use of strong interpersonal skills. This position will perform a broad variety of customer services such as: processing a variety of cash and ono=cash transactions, opening new accounts, handling customer inquiries both in person and on the telephone, cross selling bank services and products. The Head Teller will also be responsible for the safekeeping of any cash (to include vault, ATM, usused teller drawers, etc.) or Bank assets under their responsibility or possession. The Head Teller is responsible for the day to day supervision of each teller assigned to his or her branch. Must be willing to travel for training.
Education/Skills Required: Minimum of high school education or equivalent, some college preferred. 3 years previous teller experience, with an overall good performance record. Must have some basic computer skills as well as 10 key experience. Must have served as branch back-up to head teller or related experience for a minimum of 6 months. Good communication and customer service skills. Previous supervisory experience a plus, but not mandatory. Must be able to handle teller work while having customer service skills necessary to greet and serve a variety of customers in an occasionally pressured situation and available to work the hours required according to the needs of the individual branch. Must be willing to travel for training. Must be able to pass Background Check and Drug Screen prior to employment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 55 lbs.
