Job Description

This is a 24/7, on-call, salaried position.
Develop and implement safety policies and programs per OSHA requirements, and to ensure workers have a safe and healthy work environment. Coordinates with different departments to implement policies and programs following the principle of meeting all legal requirements at minimum costs, and minimize disruption in production.
Develop and implement 5S policies and programs
Also assists with developing and implementing Environmental policies and programs that affect employees’ health and well-being.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement all safety policies programs
Assists in developing and implementing 5S policies and programs
Perform all safety training and assists with 5S training for all team members
Coordinates all first aid training for safety team members
Purchases and maintain all first aid supplies.
In charge of all Workmans Compensation documentation for all claims
Answers all questions from team members concerning Workmans Compensation
Supervise all security and security employee issues.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR.1910 for all safety protocols.
Maintain the OSHA 300 log and communicates with OSHA officials if necessary.
Perform all accident/incident investigations to find root cause and corrective actions.
Assist Human Resources with various duties.
Other duties as assigned
