MDA TECHNICAL ENGINEERING ADVISORY AND MANAGEMENT SUPPORT (TEAMS) LOGISTICS

Venturi, Inc. seeks qualified candidates for an Advanced Logistics Analyst position in Huntsville, AL. This individual will support the Missile Defense Agency Logistics Support Directorate (MDA/DPL). Responsibilities include performing multi-functional logistics management in support of MDA’s goals and mission.

The individual will have a broad understanding and working experience with acquisition and sustainment Lifecycle Logistics, preferably in a DOD Weapon System program office. The individual must have experience in the following:

Working as an effective team leader to solve complex life cycle logistics problems, and establishing, developing and updating policies, instructions, procedures and strategies;
Creating, reviewing and advocating improvements to acquisition planning documents (e.g., Acquisition Strategy, Statements of Work (SOW), Lifecycle Sustainment Plans, Business Case Analysis, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Core Depot Assessment and reporting, etc.);
Working with 10 U.S.C. 2464 and 2466, DODI 5000.01 and .02, and Defense Acquisition Guidebook
Participating in data calls as a logistics subject matter expert; and
Clearly and accurately communicating complex logistics support concepts verbally, in writing and in power point presentations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience integrating and synchronizing the development of all twelve integrated product support elements (i.e., Design Interface; Sustaining Engineering; Maintenance Planning and Management; Technical Data; Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation; Support Equipment; Training and Training Support; Manpower and Personnel; Facilities and Infrastructure; Computer Resources; Supply Support and Product Support Management).

Job Requirements:

Experience: Must have 10 years of lifecycle logistics, with at least 5 years of that experience as a primary or staff action officer, or a civilian manager or logistics analyst.

Education: BA/BS. An AA/AS may be substituted for the BA/BS when combined with a total of 15 years applicable experience.

Specialized Education: Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Life Cycle Logistics level 3, or DAU Program Management level 3, or civilian equivalent. Civilian equivalent includes Program Management Professional Certification (PgMP), or one of the following Society of Logistics Engineers Certifications: Certified Professional Logistician, or Demonstrated Master Logistician, or Certified Property Professional Manager (CPPM),or can attain the required certification within 12 months; An MA/MS in Life Cycle Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, or similar logistics specialty degree may be substituted for the DAU or civilian experience.

Position requires a Secret security clearance.
