Job Description

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our team at our office in Huntsville, Alabama.

This candidate should be a self-starter with a strong track record of success planning and execution of complex hypersonic projects. This position will report to the LinQuest Program Manager of Huntsville Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Common-Hypersonic Glide Body production planning and execution, conducting Industrial Base Assessments, developing a Supply chain plan, developing requirements for production contract including implementation and tooling; and, developing and maintaining production manifest and evaluating contractor production.

Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and execution of an SMDC Hypersonics Project
  • Support Common-Hypersonic Glide Body production planning and execution
  • Conduct Industrial Base Assessments
  • Develop a Supply Chain Plan
  • Develop requirements for production contract including implementation and tooling
  • Develop and maintain production manifest and evaluate contractor production proposals

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of configuration management, quality management, and manufacturing controls
  • Experience preparing briefings and documentation

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental laws

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree is required
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in production planning and execution
  • Experience in Industrial Base Assessment, supply chain development planning, and be able to develop and maintain production requirements
  • Day-to-Day work requires knowledge of manufacturing planning, scheduling, risk assessment, base assessment, and supply chain management
  • Must be US citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of configuration management, quality management, and manufacturing controls
  • Experience preparing briefings and documentation
