Job Description:
Mostly foot patrol with occasional vehicle patrol. Curfew enforcement. Parking enforcement. Daily shift reports required.7 days a week. Pay Rate: $9.00 to $12.00 per hour
Work Location: Cathedral Place Apartments
Work Schedule: Will work 35 plus hours per week. Will work from 1:00 AM. to 8:00 AM.
Job Duties:
Security is a 24/7 industry with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts giving our employees the flexibility to balance work/life needs. Our security officers are employed at client sites throughout Mobile and surrounding areas to help protect our clients’ property, their valuables and their employees. This is achieved through patrolling, monitoring and reporting techniques by exercising vigilance, integrity and helpfulness (our core company values). The Onsite Specialty Security Officer (SSO) is responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures including day-to-day oversight and management of security aspects. The SSO will also be responsible for maintaining and administering policies and procedures in compliance with client regulations. This position coordinates and monitors industrial security programs, ensuring compliance with company security policies and procedures. This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters. The position provides support for all security functions in accordance with the security directives associated with security programs. The SSO must collaborate with the client to ensure security programs are executed comprehensively, properly, and efficiently. The SSO will also assist in defining the Security Department’s objectives and oversee quality control by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Administers routine aspects of industrial security programs and other applicable security directives associated with CSSI security programs; Develops, implements, and monitors security policies and procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the security program Establishes and maintains a working relationship with client Coordinates with customer security representative to process security clearance requirements; Coordinates periodic investigations with employees; Provides guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork; Reviews all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission; Develops and provides security briefings; Investigates and reports security violations, and incident reports; Conducts self-inspections in preparation for security audits; Maintains a working relationship with each contract’s security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances; Provides follow-up clearance status on processed clearance to manager for specific contracts; Prepares written reports of surveys and inspections; Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with client requirements.
Job Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 (21 years of age if applying for an armed position). Proof of eligibility to work in the United States. High school diploma/GED (or agreement to complete a GED program within six months of hire). Requires a valid Driver’s License and a reliable means of transportation. Requires a reliable communication device (i.e., phone or pager.) Ability to read, write and speak English. Willingness to participate in our pre-employment screening process (drug screen and background checks). Requires availability to work any day of the week including weekends. Also requires availability to work days, evenings, nights and split shifts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The aforementioned requirements are representative of the knowledge skill/and/or ability required. Experience that can be a combination of related experience in industrial security and management; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and via telephone; Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills. Also needs Microsoft windows experience, adobe.
