Job Description:

Work as a Maintenance Technician for the Mowa Choctaw Housing Authority.

Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM. to 4:30 PM.

Job Location: Mount Vernon, Al. 36560

Job Duties:

Will be performing general maintenance and upkeep of Mowa Choctaw Housing Authority properties. The Maintenance Technician will perform plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs on buildings, residences, and other structures. The Maintenance Technician must be knowledgeable in business construction practices, terminology, safety standards, health program rules, and fire prevention techniques used in the maintenance and repair of building, structures and equipment.

Job Requirements: (Must meet OJT eligibility guidelines)

Requires three years of experience in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs and general upkeep and maintenance of physical structures, buildings and residences. Requires a High School Diploma or GED. Requires a valid, current Driver’s License. Requires successful completion of a criminal background check, education, work history verification and drug screening test.
