Participates in the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing, and performs analysis of integration results to assess system impacts. Utilizes MBSE tools and techniques to support requirements development, system design, and the development of use cases for selected systems. Develops and maintains models using modeling languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), and Integration DEFinition (IDEF). Develops system models and creates representations using data architectures and data models to facilitate interoperability.
Utilizes strong written, communication, and presentation skills, and works effectively in a team environment. Reviews system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate. Participates in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery. Participates in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.Analyzes and evaluates systems using MBSE artifacts. Participates in system requirements reviews and creates/updates requirements specifications and technical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited degree program
- Minimum 3 years systems engineering expereince with some exposure to MBSE
- Experience with various model based system engineering tools – Rhapsody, Cameo Magic Draw, Rhapsody
- Understanding of system interface requirements and interface management
- Some travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Expereince supporting DoD programs is preferred
