Summary of duties and responsibilities: Sets up, operates, and tends computer controlled industrial machines used to support mass production of HVAC and industrial refrigeration units. Machines used include computer programmed; CES expander, vertical expander, fin press, Amada, break press, shear, turret rouselle, hair pin bender, and CNC tube bender.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
? Has the ability to operate all machines in RCD
? Operates machine when there is a vacancy
? Must be able to obtain and retain Brazer Certification
? Must be able to obtain and retain ET2 Certification
? Must be able to obtain and retain Leak test Certification
? Machines require computer programming when a new setting is needed
? Machines are set by computer that holds info from previous settings
? Read plans and follow specifications
? Delivers finished parts or contacts person responsible for delivery
? Follow safety procedures in place
? Perform lockout/tag out when necessary
? Maintain a clean and safe work area.
? Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
? This position requires the ability to read plans to know what settings are needed on the machine
? This position requires the ability to program specifications into industrial machines via computer
? This position requires high attention to safety and surrounding environment
? This position requires high attention to detail
? Lockout/Tag out certification required
? The position will be required to perform basic math.
? High School diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements :
Physical environment/working conditions: The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to loud noise for long periods of time throughout the day.
Equipment and Machinery used: CES expander, vertical expander, fin press, Amada, break press, shear, turret rouselle, hair pin bender, and CNC tube bender, high voltage electrical test equipment, hand and power tools.
Personal Protective/ Safety Equipment used: Eye and ear protection required at all times. Some areas require steel toed shoes. Gloves required at times. Some machines are equipped with individual safeties.
Other: The position requires the ability to function as a member of a team and an individual. Safety procedures must be followed. Lockout/ Tag out certification must be maintained at all times. The position requires the ability to regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
