Job title: Tax Analyst

Reports to (title): Tax Manager


General Description: The Tax Analyst is responsible, in conjunction with the Tax Manager and third-party service providers, for ensuring all required tax obligations are met with minimized tax burden for the various federal, state/ provincial and local jurisdictions. This position can be based out of Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or preferably Decatur, AL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• While working with the Tax Manager and third party service providers, ensure timely and accurate consolidated corporate Federal and State tax compliance while minimizing tax burden
• Monthly analysis of financial and tax information to present estimates to management
• Request and analyze federal, multi-state and international tax information from units across country
• Maintain tax filing calendar
• Monitor engagements with professional service firms and various vendors
• Preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated corporate tax provisions
• Preparation of annual five year tax forecasts
• Track state extension and estimated payments, credit carryforwards and NOL usage
• Analyze operations and nexus/ apportionment strategies to maximize state tax benefit
• Assist in transfer pricing documentation
• Monitor changes federal and state tax law for new tax opportunities and requirements
• Assist with federal and multi-state state responses to audits and notices
• Special research projects as assigned
• Provide a company resource for all tax information and guidance throughout the consolidated group
• Analysis of corporate structure to assess opportunities and changes for tax benefit
