ACTIVE VEHICLE BARRIER (AVB) MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

 

The Active Vehicle Barrier (AVB) Maintenance Technician will perform requested duties related to the repair, troubleshooting, replacement and wholesale installation of perimeter physical security systems, to include active vehicle barriers, related hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as logical control systems. Travel to client site to perform both routine preventive maintenance as well as corrective maintenance on emergency and routine calls. Liaise with on-site personnel as needed to ensure timely performance of work, as well as proper access to the site. If needed, provide traffic control or other measures necessary to ensure a safe working environment on site at all times.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. College coursework or technical training in electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems desired. Experience as a Navy/Coast Guard/Army hydraulics/electrical systems technician a plus. Demonstrated work experience with Active Vehicle Barriers a strong plus.

 

Must be able to travel anywhere within the United States, via airplane, or vehicle (POV or Rental). 

 

Position requires a background check to include a DMV report, current and valid driver’s license.

 

Position requires, lifting, bending, crouching, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 50 to 85 pounds if necessary. 

Must be able to gain access onto military installations and/or federal buildings (Favorable background check (NAC) required).

 

Technician maybe required to obtain/and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Compensation: Depends on experience and level of education/ training/ certification.  Please note this is not an inclusive list of job responsibilities.  Management reserves the right to modify responsibilities based on operational needs.
