The Inventory Control III is responsible for ensuring that company inventory is properly and securely stored and recorded, from time of receipt until use or shipment. Inventory Control III is also responsible for the coordination, administration, and management of matters relating to company and customer owned property, along with property management for their designated location and the monitoring of inventory control employees.
Adhere to Security and Safety policies
Perform task in accordance with property, quality, and regulatory requirements
Perform various daily housekeeping tasks, responsible for maintaining work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory area. Ensure that work areas are free of clutter an items are properly stored to ensure environmental and personnel safety.
Perform other various administrative duties as needed, assigned and/or required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Assemble manufacturing kits. Gather components and parts needs for the manufacture of items and ship to the appropriate location.
Attend daily Project Status meetings to stay informed of ongoing and upcoming projects and deliverable deadlines. Clearly communicate all significant inventory changes to Director of Property Controls.
Maintain accurate listing of disposition inventory available for use to all programs and projects. If a disposition part is requested follow the appropriate process for placing the item on the inventory schedule and removing from the PCARSS database.
Determines work procedures to expedite work flow.
Ensure that all required Property documentation is recorded accurately into Cost Point.
Ensure the layout of the warehouse and other storage areas are adequate considering property turnover, size, weight, and storage recommendations for safety (temperature, moisture, etc.).
Calibrate tools following manufacturing and organizational procedures regarding calibration schedules, and record all calibration activities to reflect compliance with policies and procedures.
Issue tools to employees from tool crib. Record the employee identification number and tool barcode into TCMax system. Once the item has been returned, update tool inventory immediately.
Coordinate scrapping, abandonment or DEMIL efforts after receiving instruction from Government Plant Clearance Officer regarding the PCARSS status of the item.
Enter disposition inventory information into Department of Contracts Management Agency (DCMA) Plant Clearance and Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS). Information such as part number, description, quantity, cost, unit measure, FSC code and condition should be uploaded into PCARSS.
Maintain Disposition Hazmat cabinets. Expired or obsolete chemicals are sent to disposition inventory to be logged into PCARSS for instructions regarding safe disposal. All required Hazmat documentation is maintained by the designated Property Disposition Specialist.
Perform physical inventory of components for disposition activities. Ensure that physical counts match electronic inventory records in Cost Point.
Perform random cycle counts to ensure inventory compliance. Generated random selection sample for both materials and governments assets. Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
Prepare and reconcile required inventory control reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Enter inventory information into CostPoint, Cognos, and manual file keeping systems.
This job has direct reports and supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks and appropriately delegate responsibility. Gives input, but relies on Director of Property on final decision making with duties including interviewing, hiring, terminating, performance reviews, and performance corrections.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to enter data accurately into databases, follow processes, perform basic mathematical computations, and write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista’s goals.
Ability to operate general office equipment such as fax, phone, scanner, printer, etc.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to multi-task and perform duties with minimal supervision.
High degree of self-motivation, independent work skills, excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, trustworthy, and effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to detect unobvious facts and issues, good use of analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate all decisions and issues to Management.
Basic to Intermediate computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek CostPoint, with an ability to learn additional skills and software programs.
High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 4 years of related work experience preferred.
Ability to deal with physical demands to include warehouse environment, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting inventory items up to and at times exceeding 50 pounds with appropriate safety requirements.
Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, ability to apply logic with good follow through, and leadership skills.
Experience working with TCMax, TMI Portal, CostPoint and Cognos preferred.
Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.
Previous experience conducting physical inventory counts preferred.
Previous experience working within PCARSS desired.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Previous tool calibration experience preferred.
Working knowledge of ITAR, FAR, DFAR regulations preferred.
Must be reliable and responsible with abilities to work independently and commitment to work weekends and any overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
