This is advanced technical and administrative work in, planning, configuring, and implementing MAWSS work order scheduling and tracking systems using Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) software and Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) for the purpose of managing the repair and renewal of water utility infrastructure capital assets. An employee in this class is responsible for developing Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) program goals and objectives, managing the development of software applications and databases, and coordinating database requirements between departments and other agencies. Work is performed using structured EAMS software and a relational database system under the general supervision of the Water and Sewer Operations Manager or other supervisor with considerable latitude for exercising independent judgment. The Asset Management Systems Manager also exercises supervision over communications and clerical personnel in the Operations Communications Department (Dispatch).
