The Program Manager (PM) coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, technical performance and overall management of the program. The PM is the key interface between Yulista, the Program Team and the government customer.
Responsible for managing overall program/division to deliver products and services to the customer on time and within stated business and contract objectives,
Plans and tracks program resources to ensure compliance with budget constraints,
Builds effective teams with strong morale,
Communicates a clear VISION to key program participants ensuring “line of sight” goals,
Develops new business for program/division,
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules,
Identifies programmatic problems and risks in order to develop solutions and mitigation activities,
Acts as advisor to Program Team regarding projects, tasks, and operations,
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected with minimum to no supervision,
Other duties may be assigned.
The PM will manage overall program/division personnel and activities and perform exempt level decision making including: interviewing, hiring, terminating, performance reviews, and performance corrections. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret DoD documents and contract/program requirements such as operating and maintenance instructions, standard operating procedures and procedure manuals,
Ability to write CDRLs, reports and correspondence,
Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists,
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format,
Ability to interact with a variety of personnel both internally and externally through purchasing and property personnel,
Ability to provide sound judgment to plan, perform and resolve problems by selecting a course of action for a standardized or recognized method of operation,
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite and MICROSOFT Project.
MBA or technical Master’s degree with 15+ years of related experience in Program Management, Contracting or Cost Controls with a DoD Contractor or an equivalent combination of education and related experience,
Knowledge of quality management systems, root cause analysis, RISK ASSESSMENT and mitigation,
Experience with bid and proposal activities,
Experience in managing aviation maintenance programs,
DoD experience is desired, US Navy experience preferred,
Experience with manufacturing processes and OSHA & safety compliance,
Must have an active Government Security Clearance,
This position requires a strong attention to detail and follow through, use of independent judgment, and excellent communication and people management skills,
Travel requirements – up to 50%
