In your role as an Inventory Control Specialist you will support Redstone Test Center’s Missile and Sensors Test Directorate. You would create and manage an inventory control system for the Instrumentation Division.
Maintain adequate storage in a controlled environment building and on-site inventory while controlling access to the inventory.
Use creativity to develop an efficient space utilization plan.
Manage inventory/material control software
Provide weekly reports to program management teams of depleted products and a survey of unusable products.
Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions.
Maintain and update inventory records to include conducting cycle counts.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report any stock issues to program management teams.
Maintain copies of material documentation, certificate of conformance, etc. upon receipt/issuance of materials.
The Inventory Control Technician shall pull material per bill of material in preparation for assembly or further processing.

Minimum requirements for this position:
Possess knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures.
Possess a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Desired skills and experience for this position:
Experience initiating an inventory control system and familiarity with inventory management software in a quality driven environment.
Familiar with mechanical and electrical components.
Possess exemplary mathematical and analytical skills.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Office with the ability to work within a team environment.
Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
Ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction.
