Job Description

The Work Experience Coordinator provides planning, coordination, and implementation in the areas of work experience and
WorkKeys testing. This employee must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the
Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
Responsible for planning, implementation, coordination, and quality of work experiences including, but not limited to,
Registered Apprenticeships (RA), Industry-Recognized Apprentice Programs (IRAP), and cooperative education
1. Responsible for planning, implementation, coordination, and quality of work experiences including, but not limited to,
Registered Apprenticeships (RA), Industry-Recognized Apprentice Programs (IRAP), and cooperative education
2. Serve as primary liaison to the U.S. Department of Labor and the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship
3. Establish and maintain records for all work experience programs, including Registered Apprenticeship programs
4. Coordinate developing and implementing career pathways for CTE programs for K12 and community colleges
5. Work with employers to develop relevant workforce credential and course pathways for local and regional workforce needs
6. Apply for and establish new work experience programs, including RA, IRAP, and cooperative education
7. Develop and nurture relationships and recruit industry partners to participate in work experiences with NACC students
8. Match employers and students for work experiences
9. Assist instructors in securing work experience placements
10. Assist with coordination of business and industry training
11. Provide and prepare statistical data for reports as requested by administrators
12. Assists in the recruitment of students in career-technical fields
13. Coordinate WorkKeys activities including testing and remediation
14. Coordinate WKO 106 classes and activities
15. Serve on institutional committees as assigned
16. Represent the College and its philosophy to perspective students and to others in the community
17. Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College
System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
18. Perform additional duties as assigned
