Job Description

Oral Arts is a full-service dental lab, Veteran owned since 1970, which manufactures dental prosthesis, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partial, and orthodontic appliances such as retainers, splints, night guards, sports guards, etc.

IT Support Specialist

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain customer help desk
Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot all printers (including monitoring ink levels and inventory).
Manage Window updates for all end user systems.
Manage virus protection reports and provide resolution to issues.
Maintain company phone/communication system.
Evaluate system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
Evaluate expansions or enhancements by studying work load and capacity of computer system.
Maximize use of hardware and software by training users, interpreting instructions, and answering questions.
Achieve computer system objectives and confirm program objectives and specifications.
Maintain system capability by testing computer components.
Maintain historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Clean server closet, workstations/systems, and network closet.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems or other related field (experience can be substituted for degree)
2 years of experience in essential functions of information technology
Experience with process improvement, software maintenance capabilities, software testing, network design and implementation, load balancing and scalability
Strong understanding of software/network/database performance tuning
Able to lift up to twenty five pounds
Bilingual preferred, but not necessary
