Job Description

The Aviation Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that all work associated with their team is completed in a timely and efficient manner. This position will support the Aviation Operations Manager as well as the Director of Aviation Operations.


Oversee the daily operations of aircraft mechanics and others as assigned.

Ensure airworthiness of all articles by using approved documentation.

Ensure that maintenance personnel have all items necessary to accomplish their assigned task.

Responsible for the completion of all work in accordance with company FAA Part 145 Repair Station Manual.

Monitor, coordinate, and review all aspects of project planning

Coordinate Meetings

Review Project work request for completeness and accuracy

Provide guidance and training on YAQMP 7.1 and 7.5 as needed

Provide accurate weekly/monthly status reporting, metrics, and other contractual obligations to meet project performance requirements and customer expectations

Other duties may be assigned.


This position will have direct reports and limited supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks and delegate duties as necessary.

Job Requirements

May require knowledge of and experience performing maintenance on the following aircraft:
UH-60 A/L, UH-60 M, 407, 206, OH-58, AH 64 D, AH-64E, CH-47 F, MC-130J, HC-130, C-130, C-26, EC-145, EC-135, LUH-72, UC-35, 407

Must be able to analyze program risk and develop mitigation strategies
Basic to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
Ability to read and interpret all aircraft instruments.
Use special test equipment and tools.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc. Must represent Yulista Aviation, Inc. in a professional manner at all times.
Must be trustworthy – will handle confidential information routinely
Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
Ability to follow a process.
Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Aviation, Inc.’s goals.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task


High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 15 years experience in Aviation Maintenance including 7 years of interpreting military specifications, methods and procedures from schematics, drawings and diagrams of same.
5 years supervisory experience required.
A&P License required.
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required.
Experience working on government aviation programs
Experience with aircraft quality assurance, modifications, and maintenance,
MV-22 and Production Control experience
Must have worked in a position utilizing YAQMP, GOP’s and SOP’s
Working knowledge of ULSA, 738-751 TM’s
Ability to pass a drug and background screening
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
