JOB TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non Exempt Revision Date: June 2012
Department: Facilities Reports To: VP Facilities
The Maintenance supervisor is responsible for providing general maintenance to bank facilities including: carpentry, light electrical, minor plumbing, painting, moving furniture and other assigned tasks.
General repair tasks (adjust/replace door closures, repair locks, replace flags, replace ceiling tile, clean out gutters, pick up trash)
Light electrical work (replace lamps, replace ballast in florescent fixtures, replace switches, replace lamps in outdoor signs, repair outdoor light fixtures)
Minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting of water leaks
Install or move/reconfigure workstations, move furniture, set up meeting spaces
Move files to and from retained record storage
Roll Coins for approved customers using coin rolling machine
Repair or facilitate the repair of chairs and other furniture
Oversee maintenance of Bank vehicles (oil changes, tire rotations etc.)
Small scope painting jobs as approved by VP Facilities
Install network wiring
Erect Bank tent at outdoor events
Assist in proactively monitoring properties for required preventative maintenance
Working in dusty conditions, tight spaces, and heights
Heavy lifting and moving equipment.
- Working outside in non-air-conditioning
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
- A high school diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of construction processes combined with significant practical experience applying knowledge.
Skill to complete assigned repairs to required architectural and aesthetic standards
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Self starter, able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent ability to prioritize jobs and manage time
Ability to supervise and mentor assigned part-time staff
- Critical thinking skills to be able to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot
- Ability to adhere to all applicable safety regulations
- Ability to utilize personal computer, cell phone, iPad, and Facilities Requisition System
- Ability to represent Bank Independent in a professional manner when dealing with customers and vendors
