Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.
Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.
Contact customer for information, etc.

Work at a computer console entering parts. Become familiar with computer software system (Pentagon).
Be able to use measuring tools, e.g. calipers, micrometers, etc.
At times, using a power hand tool to mark parts.
Use chemical cleaners on parts.
Occasionally sandblast parts.
Maintain specifications/ manuals.
Assist inspectors as needed.
Use protective equipment when appropriate.
Have knowledge of and understanding of Appendix A. Safety Procedures.
Keep your work area clean and orderly.
Obey company rules and comply with the required dress code.
All other duties as assigned.

Review and Maintain Master Shop Travelers

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Must have H. S. Diploma or GED.
Must be capable of reading blueprints.
Must read and write the English language.
Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
Should have intermediate mathematical skills (Concepts and calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
Prior work experience in receiving/shipping helpful but not required.
Prior knowledge of AS9110 Quality Policy and Procedure a big plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 30 pounds.

Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Is frequently required to talk or listen.
