Uniti Fiber Holdings Inc. (“Uniti”) is searching for a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will support senior accountants and the Controller. The Junior Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting and financial tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
+ Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
+ Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
+ Prepares and records assigned journal entries for monthly closing.
+ Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
+ Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary.
+ Maintain and record fixed assets.
+ Accrual reporting.
+ Process invoices, purchase orders, sales tax, and credit memos through accounting software.
+ Audit, process and pay vendor invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Coordinate audits in accordance with internal and external procedures.
+ Works flexible hours and travels as needed.
+ Supports special projects as assigned.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Education and/ or Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Advanced Excel proficiency
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ 3-5 years of relevant experience with general accounting software, a good understanding of US GAAP, and working knowledge of local, state and federal laws
regarding accounting, finances and taxation
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use good use of judgment in making independent decisions with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
