Lemcon Inc seeks 5G Network Tower Climber in 502 Cahaba Valley Circle, Pelham, AL 35124 for temporary, full-time employment in 12 openings in Pelham and the Birmingham-Hoover, AL MSA. Employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Workers are needed to begin work on 01/01/2019 through 12/31/2021.
Climb and work on communications towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment for 5G network. Perform tower maintenance under close supervision. Use tools and rigging hardware to install antennas and lines for 5G network. Fit connectors, attachment of coax to support system sealing and joints. Mount antenna support systems. Operate winch or cat head. Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools and supplies. Assist crew leader with task required to meet the scope of work. Must be able to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load. No education or experience required. Workers will perform work at multiple work sites within the area of intended employment, the Birmingham-Hoover, AL MSA. Employer will provide transportation to additional locations from the work site staging area. Pre-hire urinalysis test and background checks required.
Workers will be paid no less $23.33 per hour. Overtime will be paid at $35.00 per hour. The employer will provide on the job training. The employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (weekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $12.46/day during travel to a maximum of $55.00/day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
