The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that daily production targets are achieved. The Supervisor is expected to audit the floor and make sure that the 4M’s are in place to produce quality product safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Must understand and follow TS16949 and IATF16949 systems
Analyzes production schedules to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
Plans flow of materials through department.
Interfaces with other in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
Responsible for machine setup, maintenance issues and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery problems.
Responsible for notifying maintenance of maintenance issues and will assist maintenance as necessary to make repairs
Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products, which fail to meet standards.
Responsible for making adjustments when necessary to ensure that quality and productivity targets are met.
Schedules manpower requirements on each shift to meet customer requirements
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department(s), or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Maintains production records.
Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
Regular and predictable attendance.
The ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness and must understand and follow all safety rules.
Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, other supervisors, and others on Company premises.
Work well under production pressures.
Read and follow work instructions.
Follows policies and procedures.
Observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.
Must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervises plastic injection molding technicians and maintenance technicians. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
