We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in leadership and planning, coordinating R&M team members, trade partners and vendors. Through servant leadership, transparency and organization, the Assistant Superintendent will help to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the owner.

We’re looking for a self-motivated candidate with 5-10 years of related experience, education and/or training, specifically with a minimum of 2 years of healthcare construction experience.
The ideal candidate will be safety focused, highly responsible and able to lead with integrity.

Assist in planning & setup of efficient jobsite layouts.
Lead job activities in accordance with policies, procedures & within bounds of contract.
Arrange for & schedule inspections by Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
Maintain a clean, orderly jobsite, utilizing 5s.
Assist with prequalification & hiring of all field labor.
Uphold Robins & Morton Drug, Alcohol and Harassment policies.
Uphold company Safety Program.
Maintain daily logs documenting jobsite activities & events.
Lead & schedule tasks of trade partners.
Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with R&M policies & applicable laws.
Develop, train, & resolve conflicts/concerns of those under your leadership.
Plan, assign & direct tasks of those under your leadership. Collaboration
Assist in maintaining excellent client & designer relations.
Maintain a collaborative working relationship with entire project delivery team.
Ensure exceptional quality of work.
Help implement & maintain quality control programs & life safety checkout procedures.
Support Superintendent in providing jobsite leadership and direction.
Lead field management personnel to succeed in their job requirements.
As needed, manage field operations of trade partners.
Lead all field labor to succeed in completing designated tasks.
Directly lead & develop nonsupervisory team members such as carpenters & laborers.
Participate in learning opportunities for personal & professional growth.
Contribute knowledge you’ve learned to help the team.

Good written & oral communications.
Basic reading skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, & volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry.
Basic analytical knowledge.
Ability to recognize & achieve quality work.
Ability to coordinate & complete many different activities in a timely manner.
Ability to plan ahead as it relates to safety, labor & material requirements.
Knowledge of industry safety procedures and OSHA regulations. OSHA 30 Hour certification, preferred.
Thorough understanding of plans & specifications.
Thorough knowledge of mechanical/plumbing and electrical systems.
Competent in all aspects of building layout, e.g., site, structure, partitions, etc.
Good carpentry, tool & equipment management skills.
Thorough knowledge of scheduling.
Good working knowledge of all phases of a construction project.
Able to regularly stand; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; & reach with hands & arms.
Able to occasionally climb or balance & stoop & kneel.
Able to regularly lift/move up to 25lbs; & frequently lift/move up to 50lbs.
Able to use distance & peripheral vision, depth perception, & to adjust focus.
Regularly work in outside weather conditions.
Able to frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
Able to occasionally work in high, precarious places & handle wet/humid conditions

This position is an Exempt position and is not subject to overtime pay.
This position is assigned to jobsite locations; travel/relocation is required.
This position is part of the Operations Department.
This position reports direct to the Senior Superintendent, Superintendent, Project MIC, or Operations Manager of that assigned project.
The noise level is usually moderate to high.
