Job Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead by example, readily learn & develop his/her skills, help to developother field team members, and provide detailed documentation in order to provide our clients with qualityservice. The Project Engineer will play a major role in the overall coordination of our dynamic constructionprojects.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, collaborative & detail-oriented candidate with, preferably, a degree inBuilding Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Education can be substituted withexperience or another related degree. The candidate will preferably have experience specifically in healthcareconstruction.

Maintain a clean, orderly jobsite and understand 5s.
Enforce Drug, Alcohol and Harassment policies in areas of assigned responsibility.
Enforce jobsite safety procedures to comply with OSHA regulations and R&M Safety Program.
As required, maintain daily logs to document all jobsite activities and events.
Responsible for layout of the building structure, partitions and other portions of the work.
Assist in submittal and shop drawing review as assigned.
Maintain a working relationship with the entire project delivery team.
Provide support to the project team to maintain owner, designer and client relationships.
Continuous Improvement

As required, manage all field operations of trade partners to install their portion of the work.
Ensure exceptional quality of work, in accordance with plans and specifications.
Help implement and maintain quality control programs and life safety checkout procedures.
Leadership Development

Support Superintendent and Project Manager in providing leadership for areas of responsibility.
Lead and develop all assigned jobsite field management team to effectively perform their job requirements.
Contribute to management of job activities in accordance with R&M standards and contract requirements.
Lead and develop all assigned field labor to accomplish designated tasks successfully.
Learning Culture

Learn and use technology (hard & software) to accomplish tasks.
Participate in R&M training opportunities to grow your skills.
Job Qualifications:

Good written & oral communications. Able to speak effectively before groups of the project team.
Ability to read, analyze, & interpret, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Advanced analytical and reading skills.
Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Use of basic reasoning and ability to resolve issues quickly with little or no direction from a superior.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
Preferably, OSHA 30 Hour certified. If not current, receive within 1st year of and keep current.
Knowledge of all facets of ground up Healthcare Construction/New Renovation.
Basic understanding of blueprint reading, and mechanical/plumbing and electrical systems.
Familiarity with building layout, e.g., sites, structure partitions, etc.
Ability to recognize quality work.
Knowledge of industry safety procedures and AHCA regulations.
Ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls; and to reach with hands and arms.
Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop or kneel.
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Good distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to regularly work in outside weather conditions, frequently near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally in high, precarious places and exposed to wet/humid conditions.
Ability to work in a noise level that is usually moderate to high.

This position is an Exempt position and is not subject to overtime pay.
This position is assigned to jobsite locations; travel/relocation is required.
This position is part of the Operations Department.
This position reports direct to the Senior Superintendent, Superintendent, Project MIC, or Operations Manager of that assigned project.
