The Software Assurance Analyst will design, develop, test, and implement cyber applications, secure operating systems, and database products to find secure solutions for enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Additional duties include managing a wide range of security issues (i.e. architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, network access). The Software Assurance Analyst will also perform research and analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept design, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal, as well as implement encryption, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies. This individual may also provide architectural analysis and relate the existing system to future needs and trends. DoD tools /techniques/procedures in software assessment/software assurance to include use of Coverity and or eMASS. Risk Management Framework experience with the obtaining and maintaining of Assessments and Accreditations within MDA standards. Linux Operating systems experience to preform configurations, patching and maintenance.
Minimum of 3-7 years work related experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain Security + certification within 6 months of hire
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
Current Security + or CISSP preferred
Possess excellent written communication skills to enable the development of detailed software assessment reports and briefings
Possess excellent verbal communication skills to facilitate active participation in technical interchange meetings and briefings with prime contractor and software development personnel
Java, Cuda and OpenCL is a desired.
Supply Chain Risk Management and exposure to DoD DevOps concept is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
