Job SummaryReporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Recruitment oversees Admissions Advisors who are located on- and off-campus. Oversees Admissions Advisors to ensure recruitment and enrollment goals are achieved. Ensures the office, events and other recruitment programs are staffed and supported.
-Oversees the daily operations of all freshman Admission Advisors to include general questions and answers, communication of important information and updates, financial reimbursements, leave
approval, recruitment event participation, and performance reviews.
-Assists the Director and Associate Director of Admissions with the implementation of recruitment strategies, goals, planning, and enhanced relationships with on and off-campus constituents.
-Works with Admission Advisors to create opportunities to enhance relationships in their territories by partnering with high school guidance counselors and alumni.
-Supports the University Undergraduate Admissions/Operations Director, Associate Directors, Admissions Advisors, and event planners to plan and coordinate advisory board meetings, college fair attendance, recruitment event attendance, newsletters, and other contact information that may be useful in recruiting students.
-Manages assigned staff and leads recruitment of positions including reviewing resumes, participating in interviews, and conducting performance review evaluations.
Minimum QualificationsEntry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Management, Psychology, Communications, Education or any related field. Plus, five (5) years experience in public relations, student recruiting, and/or program coordination.
Knowledge of recruiting policies and procedures and marketing and promotional practices.

Desired QualificationsExperience in public relations, student recruiting, and/or program/function coordination with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability. At least 2 years of experience directly supervising full-time employees.
