Pay Range – $12-$16/hour, depending on experience, night shift qualifies for a 10% premium

A world class aerospace defense contractor conveniently located between Atlanta and Birmingham seeks skilled Quality Calibration Technician for its Night shift operations The work environment is clean, safe and centrally climate controlled. Major Position Responsibilities


Calibrate, record, and maintain inspection tooling instruments used in the precision manufacturing production process for the GD-OTS Anniston facility.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains accountability and calibration records of measuring instruments.
  • Perform gage calibrations and evaluations for new/existing gages and fixtures using standards and techniques approved to MIL-STD-120.
  • Ensures all calibrated standards are traceable to N.I.S.T
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of gage status in “Calibration Recall” software or other software that is equivalent.
  • Good math skills and blueprint reading is required.
  • Able to adjust, repair or replace faulty gages.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision. Responsible with making decisions related to own work within own guidelines established by department supervisor or manager.
  • Good communicator with peers and customers.
  • Organized and prepared for customer audits.
  • Willing and able to work overtime and rotate shifts as needed, including weekends.

Basic Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and at least 3 years quality related inspection work experience working with gages and calibration of tools. Courses in Quality Control and/or an advanced degree is preferred. Must have knowledge of blue print reading and of various inspection tool gages. Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of staff. Must have excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
