Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking Aircraft Avionics Technician Level 3 Repair Lead to join our team! This position performs maintenance and repair work on Group I SUAS aircraft. Troubleshoots components to determine faults. Assembles, installs, and tests repaired components. Adjusts, repairs or replaces malfunctioning components or assemblies. Keeps detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed. This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

*This position is contingent upon the award of a new contract. The award decision is expected in the first quarter of 2020.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering and Prototype team. Duties include:

+ Supervises Repair Facility personnel

+ Creates and updates maintenance and repair SOPs.

+ Establishes SUAS repair training program and maintains training and qualification records for supervised workers.

+ Support inspection, maintenance, and repair activities for aviation, missile, armament, land combat systems, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Test Program Sets (TPSs), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support, Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE), Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE), commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment, non-standard equipment, Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems, RQ-11B Pathfinder Raven, RQ-20A Puma, All Environment Capable Variant (AECV), The National Maintenance Program (NMP) and Class IV Aviation/Missile repair parts.

+ Perform field and sustainment level maintenance, conduct and record inspections, preventative maintenance checks and services, preservation/ de-preservation, corrosion control and corrective actions, identify and tag items with proper condition code

+ Perform inspection, maintenance, or repair activities and will provide completed inspection sheets of discrepancies and certification that work was accomplished IAW the workmanship standards in applicable Technical Manuals, Technical Data Packages (TDPs), and Army/DoD regulations and instructions.

+ Conduct FMA-RSA repair activities by performing: Repair of Depot Level Reparable (DLR); Serviceability and Acceptance Inspections of recovered DLR; Conducting 20 percent sampling of new parts received for serviceability; Assuring Quality Control of repaired items, including calibration; Restocking of Inventory Control Point (ICP) and deployed logistics site(s); Bench Stock use, accountability, and management; Recommending disposition of damaged parts; Support Equipment Maintenance, Refurbishment and Repair

+ Perform repair services for the current managed SUAS fleet and future modified systems. Apply upgrades, prepare and execute MWOs IAW MIL-PRF-63002 to enable installation of field retrofits.

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

+ High School Diploma

+ 6 years of experience in Unmanned Aircraft repair and maintenance in related military occupational specialty

+ 2 years of experience in a lead position

+ FAA Certification Program

+ Must have experience in aircraft composite repair, weight and balance, and technical inspection. Must be able to write and communicate effectively, be detail oriented, work well in team environments or independently, multi task, handle fast paced environment

+ Secret Security Clearance

+ Must be US Citizen
