This is an OJT position and candidate must meet WIOA eligibility requirements. The Job Coach is responsible for guiding, coaching and encouraging individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their maximum level at specific job skills. The position requires the ability to collaborate effectively with the person receiving services, employers, co-workers, family members, related agencies and others. Primary duties include: 1. Develop effective job coaching and employment plans. 2. Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions. 3. Assist clients to so discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals. 4. Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use the strengths effectively. 5. Guide clients in learning to complete job tasks. 6. Help in the development of motivation and skills. 7. Provide coaching in effective job search techniques. 8. Assist people with disabilities in developing social and life skills. 9. Advise on workplace accommodations for people with disabilities. 10. Monitor and evaluate progress of clients. 11. Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug screen
