Position Description

Dynetics is an employee-owned company seeking a talentedApplied Aerodynamics Engineerto join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics is seeking an aerospace engineer focused on the application of state-of-the-art aerodynamic prediction codes, methodologies, and wind tunnel testing/flight testing to perform conceptual design, vehicle aerodynamic stability & control analyses, and flight performance analyses of missile, munition, aircraft, UAS, and launch vehicles.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must have aMS Aerospace Engineering degree and a minimum of 3+ years experience in aerodynamic design, aerodynamic prediction & modeling, and aerodynamic performance analysis of missiles and fixed wing aircraft.

Individual will utilize theoretical, semi-empirical, & computational prediction tools and will support wind tunnel testing and flight testing to evaluate airframe designs and characterize aerodynamic performance. Primary disciplines involved: aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and flight performance.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are required, as the successful candidate must function effectively in a team environment and interact with program stake-holders.

Must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Other Qualifications

The following skill sets are also desired and will strengthen a candidate’s potential for selection:

+ Matlab, Python, Fortran, Linux, and CAD skills are desired.

+ Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) a plus.

+ Experience planning and conducting wind tunnel tests a plus.

+ Current active DoD clearance is desired.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
