Job Description

The Windows Application Administrator will provide application support for COTS and Mission Partner written software (GOTS) in the NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments on a 24×7×365 basis. This will require a privileged access to information systems, which will have an ability to access and control functions of the information system/network, administration of user accounts, etc. In this role, you can expect to interact on a daily basis with other departments like system integrators, network administrators and the operational team.

Duties & Responsibilities…

+ Provide system administration technical support for the Windows Server systems.

+ Install, configure, maintain, manage, functionally validate and troubleshoot MS Windows Server operating environments and associated components such as, but not limited to the Registry, Active Directory, Internet Information Service (IIS), Domain Name System (DNS), TCP/IP, Network File Systems (NFS), and networking components. Ensure operating environments are properly configured and functioning with specified network, and storage components and applicable tool suites.

+ Configure networking and storage components to meet engineering specifications at the OS Windows Server level.

+ Windows scripting (PowerShell and other DISA standard tools) to optimize and automate system administrator tasks.

+ Manage clustering at the OS level, leveraging Veritas Clustering software as well as other clustering packages.

You’ll need to have:

+ Active DoD Secret Clearance

+ IAT level II or higher (Security + CE or IASE equivalent)

+ Windows system administration experience (2000 and later)

+ Understanding of and previous experience with ITIL Processes

Even better if you have:

+ Cyber Security evaluation experience

+ Network/Solution Design Experience

+ Experience with ITSM Remedy IT Ticketing system

+ Strong analytical and reporting skills

+ Good communication skills

+ Good documentation and process skills
