Job Description

Currently, we are seeking a Human Resources Specialist (Intermediate) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL.
The HR Specialist researchs, reviews, and supports revision of current policies, programs and/or associated documents and the development of new policies, programs and/or associated documents. These documents may include but are not limited to HR policies, program documents, factsheets, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Preparing draft documents and coordinating HR staff action packages for policy and program reviews and approval.
• Supporting completion of the annual HR reporting requirements, such as the Annual Historical Report, Internal Management Controls and Self Assessments, audit reports, barrier analysis and formal requests for compilation of HR historical and management data.
• Maintaining HR policies, documents, and special program communications for customer access.
• Collecting data as needed for reporting purposes.
• Preparing draft responses with background data for answering quick-response taskings from internal sources.
• BA/BS in related field with three years of relevant experience. Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• The Qualified candidate must have a DoD Secret Clearance
• Federal and or DoD Human Resources experience is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
