Dynetics is seeking qualified candidates to provide mechanical analysis support. The Structural Analyst will support the stress analysis of ground and airborne structural and mechanical systems and support various test activities. The position requires use of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, perform analysis, calculations, data reduction, and correlate test results for structures and/or structural dynamics. This analysis will include detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry programs. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with the design activity to refine mechanical designs based upon the stress analysis results. Candidates must be able to work independently to support government customer needs with minimal oversight.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years experience (or equivalent) in structural analysis. The candidate must have experience with commercial structural analysis software (e.g. Femap/NX Nastran, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.). The candidate must be self-motivated, work well in a team environment, and have good written and oral communication skills. The candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL or the North Alabama area.
+ Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering Degree are preferred.
+ Experience with Femap/NX Nastran for structural analysis is preferred.
+ Experience with dynamics analysis (modal, response spectrum, vibration) is preferred.
+ Experience with multi-body dynamic analysis / mechanism analysis (using MSC.ADAMS, Matlab/Simulink, etc.) is preferred.
+ Preferred candidates will already possess a Secret Security Clearance.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
