Job Summary**Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

-Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
-Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
-Assistance with special projects
-Seasonal work

TES is currently seeking experienced individuals to assist with outreach projects and promotion of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). Funding was allocated to advance CLT research and outreach across Alabama. Through these initiatives, this support will provide additional opportunities for this emerging high rise building industry.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

-Planning and organizing large conferences across Alabama
focused on CLT
-Day and overnight travel
-Support, planning, and organization of outreach programs
at various locations across Alabama
-Communicating with stakeholders via face-to-face
meetings, emails, telephones, etc?
-Organizing and scheduling meetings
-Creating reports, announcements, fliers, brochures, etc?
-Office research, data entry, and filing as needed
Minimum Qualifications-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Previous experience and demonstrated event planning and
organizational skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel,
and Outlook
-Valid driver’s license
Desired QualificationsBachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing & Communications, Architecture & Building Design, natural resources and/or wood products or related field.
