Job Description

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Fabricator

Key Role:

Perform as a training aids fabricator and maintain responsibility for constructing enemy threat devices, including improvised explosive devices (IED) and unexploded ordnance (UXO) training aids for use by Army explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) units. Research enemy threat systems and IED information and fabricate replica threat systems and new IED training aids based on current real-world intelligence and events. Identify and resource ordnance training aids with Render Safe Procedures (RSP) or disposal task utility. Assist military personnel with plans and exercise operations, including writing scenarios based on current tactics, techniques, and procedures, incorporating knowledge of IED or UXO functioning while implementing Weapons Technical Intelligence and Technical Forensics Exploitation into training tasks. Apply subject matter expertise in C-IED, EOD, and Forensic Exploitation (FE) concepts, procedures, and policies, including Army and Joint Service EOD doctrine to support planning, operations, and training and serve as a trainer for Army EOD units. Produce detailed After-Action Reviews (AARs) and Trip Reports upon the conclusion of training events and key meetings. This position is located in Anniston, AL.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as an EOD technician in the US military

-Experience in dealing with IED components and performing reverse engineering for training use

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Active Secret clearance

-AA or AS degree

-Completion of Advanced Electronics Certification or Training

-Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal training

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with forensics training or working in an exploitation lab

-Experience as a Senior NCO, Officer O3, or above

-Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)

-Experience in dealing with IED components and performing reverse engineering for training use

-Experience as a military Instructor

-Knowledge of homemade explosives

-BA or BS degree preferred

-TRADOC or equivalent Service Instructor Training Course Certification
