Parsons is seeking a senior level candidate with 10 years or greater Ballistic Missile Defense related threat engineering experience to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of threat characteristics to include but not limited to trajectory, debris, plume signatures, RF signatures, and IR signatures. Emphasis is on Optical Signatures for this position, with emphasis on related experience with Optical Signature codes and analysis.
Previous experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC) is desired. The candidate will develop and evaluate threat signature models, run threat models to generate signature files, and interpret and evaluate signature files provided by external organizations. The candidate will develop parametric threat spaces encompassing intelligence assessments for BMDS design, test, and performance assessment as well as analyze and map BMDS functions and sensitivities to the threat properties. They will develop threat requirements for BMDS development efforts and review submitted requirements for completeness and technical accuracy. The candidate will perform threat analysis tasks to include analysis of technical data from the Intelligence Centers, real world data collections to benchmark threat models, and Special Studies and Quick Reaction Tasks (QRT) to support MDA leadership.
The candidate will lead integration of threat data products to include quality control of products and resolution of any identified issues.
+ Bachelor degree in a technical field as a minimum with an advanced degree preferred.
+ 8+ years experience in BMDS analysis
+ Proficiency with Optical Signature codes and analysis
+ Familiarity with MDA policies and procedures
+ Current Secret Clearance mandatory; Higher clearance level preferred
+ The candidate must have strong leadership, oral and written communication skills
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Secret clearance.
