In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.

TheStructural Systems Project Leadwill support the Dynetics Space Division by leading the design and development of structural systems associated with a human lander system. This position is responsible for leading the design, development, production, and qualification for structural components and systems. This position requires advanced technical planning, requirements development, verification, estimating, scheduling, and leadership of internal resources and suppliers. The Structural Systems Project Lead will manage a multi-disciplined, multi-organizational Integrated Product Team, and will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) supporting Dynetics Earned Value Management (EVM) processes. Daily customer interaction and effective communication skills, written and oral, are required.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university
Candidate must have at least (10) ten years of related experience with at least (7) seven years in the aerospace or spaceflight industry.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience in structural hardware development, related to mechanical design, structural analysis, and/or testing.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience in project management.
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
+ Demonstrated understanding of NASA hardware development and qualification processes.
+ Earned Value Management project experience
+ Experience working within and/or leading multi-company and multi-organizational development teams.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
