In your role as a Photographer 1, you will directly support a variety of Department of Defense weapon systems programs. Using your experience in high quality still cameras, video equipment, lighting equipment, and related techniques to take photographs and video which involve unlimited problems of speed, motion, color contrast and lighting.
What you’ll do all day:
Work as part of a team of photography technicians.
Use your skills in video production and editing as well as high speed photography.
Use high quality still cameras, lighting equipment, and related techniques to take photographs which involve unlimited problems of speed, motion, color contrast and lighting.
Make decisions involving shutter speeds, lens settings, filters, camera angles, exposure times, and camera remote controls on technical and scientific missions that require more skills than the novice photographer.
Support multiple projects in parallel in an environment that changes quickly in response to customer needs.
Communicate with the engineering team and customers to discover and develop requirements with the goal of optimizing photographic data.

Minimum requirements for this position:
Minimum one year of equivalent experience in photography, electronics or networking; or completion of formal training.
Experience must include a working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating Systems (OS) for personal computers and MS Office products.
Capable of working outside on a test range.
Able to travel up to 25 percent.
Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Able to climb ladders and stairs safely.
Able to carry equipment up flights of stairs to work location.
Able to work from an elevated position safely.
Able to kneel, squat, bend and stand while performing duties.
Able to distinguish colors.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be a US Citizen.
Desired skills and experience for this position:
Photography or Videography field experience (not lab or studio).
Photography/Videography degree or background.
Experience working in harsh environments.
Proficiency in Photoshop and image/video editing experience
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
