Job Description

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

The Project Superintendent is responsible and accountable for the overall day-to-day supervision and coordination of field related construction activities for one or more commercial or federal construction projects. The work will mostly consist of ground-up construction or interior renovations.

The Superintendent must have:

+ Extensive technical and practical knowledge, and experience as a Superintendent.

+ A desire to push the job forward and act as a leader.

+ Manage, schedule, and coordinate 5-20 subcontractors on general construction projects ranging in size from $500k to $10M.

+ Ability to generate RFI’s.

+ Ability to review technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes

+ Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods as well as construction management

+ Ability to write and speak in order to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations

+ Ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion

+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software packages, along with knowledge of estimating process.

+ Knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws and regulations

+ Ability get along well with and interface with clients and architects.

+ OSHA 30 and QA/QC Training a major plus

+ Military Veterans a major plus.

+ APPLICANT MUST HAVE SPECIFIC FEDERAL WORK EXPERIENCE. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK

This is a traveling position
