Job Description

4 Openings. Temporary full-time. 4/01/20 to 10/31/20. Tidewater Government Contracts, Inc., Owens Cross Roads, AL. Landscape or maintain properties using tools or equipment. Tasks may include mowing, trimming, edge lawns planting, pull and chop weeds, prune, rake and blow grass and leaves, trash pickup; lay sod, fertilizing; installation of sprinklers; haul and spread topsoil and mulch. $13.14/hr, O/T varies at $19.71/hr. 40 hr/wk. Mon-Fri, 7:00am – 4:00 pm, hrs. may fluctuate due to weather. No exp. or educ. nec. Will train. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in adverse weather conditions & pass a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test paid by employer. Single workweek used for computing wages. Pay received bi-weekly. Bonuses and extra compensation may be offered at discretion of employer. Shared housing may be available – if used, $62.50 /wk. will be deducted from paycheck. Employer will make all deductions from workers’ paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker within 1st. workweek all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government. Inbound transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment reimbursed to workers. All work tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost.
